Boys enjoy loud class
15/08/2008 |
BEING loud is a highlight of any boyhood and the boys at Tyalla Primary School are no exception. However the Year 2 boys have their own ‘loud class’ each week, away from the sensitive ears of the girls, and they couldn’t be happier.
Work starts on boat ramp improvements
15/08/2008 |
WORK has begun on the construction of a new modular pontoon walkway at the boat ramp in the harbour. The work includes the installation of up to three piles and approximately 40 metres of modular pontoon. Construction is expected to be completed by August 31. “The new pontoon, which will connect the existing loading pontoon with the launch ramp, will make it easier for users of the boat ramp to load and unload their boats,” said Stephen Sawtell, Council’s General Manager.

Neptune lurking out wide
14/08/2008 |
AT time of writing, the sea from the Jetty looks like a pond, but just out a bit wider it’s Neptune’s revenge and the bravest of the pro-fisher folk were glad to come in early. Brett Knight walked into the shop recently with a grin from ear to ear and a 7kg snapper he caught on a live slimey off ‘Third Headland’, and John Radford did well at ‘Bullocky’, weighing in a 6.5kg Snapper.
